I’ve been really sucky at updating. Sorry new & loyal followers.
I’ll do my best to give you good stories every time. *promise*
I’ve recently embarked on a journey to help me regain my “fitness”. For those who have known me from Dayre or close friends, knows that I lost 10kg prior to leaving Miri. Thanx to discipline. I watched what I eat, ensuring that I exercise and all the stress in moving from Miri to KL.
However, when we came back, I found it so difficult to maintain the “healthy eating & work out” schedule. Mainly because we do need to spend a lot of time in traffic, juggling between work and family.
I know, I know. All EXCUSES la CIKU!!
but it happened, I gained 5kg since I came back to KL. Not joking.
My effort all went.. *POOOFFF*
In addition, my energy level has also been very low ever since we got back. It could be the lack of exercise, the increase of stress and the fact that I haven’t been eating right.
I was so dependent on coffee to stay awake that I drank 3-4 cups of coffee a day. *Please do not ever do this!*
And I struggled for a couple of months to head back to healthy eating & exercising until I found my coach.
I have to admit that I’m not a very light (in weight) person. Your jaw may drop once you see what’s coming up next.
I’ve always been on the heavier side, before I gave birth to my first child. My lightest was at 58kg.
But again, I have a different view of how much I weigh now. Weight is just a number. Healthy & fit is what matters.
Having said that, first things first. The weight has to go down along with the body fat. And if I gain weight after, it would be because I’ve gained muscles.
I know I gotta do something about it and an opportunity came to me.
What did I do?
I signed up for a 10days Lean & Tone project with my coach and it’s amazing what I’ve achieved in just 10 days. (SUPER IMPORTANT: Without having to starve.)
Even though I didn’t follow their 80:20 rule. I fully concentrated on the 80% of what is important in achieving this amazing result.
And it’s a journey that I would really love to share.
Yes, what did I say? I’m not light. My husband got a shock that I’m only 3kg lighter than him.
but notice the difference between Day 1 and Day 5.
Now, Day 1, Day 5 & Day 10. *SMILES WIDELY*
I’ve lost 3.8kg and emerged as the champion of the season’s challenge. I also lost 1.5% Body Fat!
This has motivated me to keep going.
And today, I’m proud to announce that I’m weighing in at….
WOOT WOOT!! I’m back to where I left off in Miri! (A little lighter than when I left Miri actually.)
I’m proud to say that I’m at my lightest since giving birth to Lucas. And that’s nearly 5 years ago!
What’s better?
I can safely declare that I don’t drink coffee cos I needed it to stay awake anymore!
I now drink coffee cos I want to (I do love coffee) and most days, I do without it.
I won’t stop at this. The results are motivating! The plus factor is to be surrounded by people with similar goals!
Gotta admit, that I probably gave up doing it on my own because I’m the kind to need people to do this together with me.
So what’s next?
I’ve signed up for another project! It’s the 30 days Journey to Be a Fit Mum with a group of mothers, tomorrow!
Not sure if it’s even right to be sound like I’m super excited to be restricted from food that I love (think FRIED CHICKEN!!).
MY GOALS?
- To lose more body fat
- Gain Muscles
- Weigh 60kg
- Stay energetic without depending on coffee
- KEEP HEALTHY!! (Turning 35 this year is no joke.)
- To work on that 20% (which is exercise) into my daily routine
So what’s your goal for your health & body?
If you would like to find out more and kick start a healthy lifestyle like I did (it’s only the end of the first quarter of the year to achieve that New Year’s resolution), click here and you will be in touch with my coach!
Remember to quote: Cikumuffin
(Just so she knows how you got to know about this project!)
I know that there are many ways that we can stay healthy and yes, this is not the only way to do so. This is just one “method” that I recommend. If you have experienced other ways to stay healthy, good for you! Let’s stay healthy in our own way, together!!
I’m gonna make a change, For once I’m my life. It’s gonna feel real good, Gonna make a difference. Gonna make it right.
