My relationship with Liverpool FC is like a love story of a pair of long lost lovers.
It began with my father’s love for the club.
He would watch every single match (even if it means waking up at 3am), pulling down the big projector screen and converts our hall into some kind of theatre, only that you are watching a football match instead of a movie.(God bless our ex-neighbours whom may have been disturbed by the loud noise of fans cheering in matches.)
Because of his “die hard fan” spirit, I followed every single update there is on the players and matches then, just so I can have conversations with my “a man of few words” father.

I’ve stopped following updates or even watching matches since he passed away. Well, no one else to talk football (LFC) with anymore.
#thetruthis: We named our two boys after Liverpool players, in memory of my late father.
James after Jamie Carragher, a defender that my father dotes. Lucas after Lucas Leiva, one of the rising midfielders that my father was rooting for before he departed. (Steven Gerrard was the other player that my father loves following but Steven Tan didn’t suit us. No offence to any Steven Tans out there. #personalpreference)
8years after my dad’s passing…
I now work for a company that partners with Liverpool. That’s how Liverpool FC and I are like long lost lovers who finally fate brought them back to meet again. š
Nevertheless, I’m happy that my ex-love(r),Liverpool has finally lifted the Premier League trophy. And to show my support for the ex…
I adopted A Red Keg, a campaign that my company was running and was the first hundred to do so.

But the rekindling of our love did not stop there…

With so much going on in my life right now, perhaps it is fate that is reminding me that I would never walk alone.

Disclaimer: This is not an advertisement for my company. Probably. š
